Circular Communities Scotland is delighted to welcome a new staff member, David McQuatt, who has joined our team as our new Finance Coordinator.
In his role, David will oversee the finances of the organisation as well as supporting the smooth running of the office environment and ensuring compliance with legal and governance requirements.
David brings over a decade of experience in finance, compliance, and ethical governance across the third sector, arts, retail and social enterprise. His career has included Finance and Compliance Management, Trustee, Treasurer and Company Secretary roles with charities such as Artlink Central Ltd in Stirling and Justice and Arts Scotland in Glasgow.
“I am passionate about using financial management not only as a tool for accountability but also as a way of building trust, supporting staff wellbeing, and enabling communities to
thrive. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team that shares my commitment to social justice and sustainability, and I’m excited to help strengthen Circular Communities Scotland’s impact for its members across Scotland.
As an enthusiastic believer in lifelong learning, I have recently completed a PgCert in Arts Management, Fundraising, Finance and Development at Queen Margaret University Edinburgh after completing my BA (Hons) in Drawing & Painting at Edinburgh College of Art. Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time as possible in nature combining photography, walking and cycling, which connect me to creativity, community, and the outdoors, and I bring that same energy and curiosity into my professional life.”
