Why This Matters
Important changes have been made to how SEPA regulates water, waste management and industrial activities in Scotland. From 1st November 2025, the regulation of these activities moved to the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (EASR). This replaces several separate regulations, including waste regulations.
