“Circular Communities Scotland would like to extend our concerns and support to our members throughout Scotland, in light of recent violence in other parts of the UK, and potential far-right protests scheduled over the coming weeks.

As an organisation we work with social and environmental justice at our heart. This extends to voicing the strongest possible opposition to hatred, division, and racism.

We are dedicated to speaking on behalf of our members and sector against violence and racism and providing guidance and reassurance in this distressing time.

Our members are charities and social enterprises, supporting diverse communities across the country. We work to promote the incredible, positive impact they have on tackling social issues, engaging with their community members, and promoting a more circular economy in Scotland.

Like all organisations across the country, our members benefit from working with, employing and supporting people who have chosen to live in the UK from across the world. Anyone who is lucky enough to know and engage with our membership, understands the wonderful contribution they make to our society.

Circular Communities Scotland believes that our diversity, and differences in culture and lifestyles makes our members, and Scotland, stronger.

We are aware that our members, particularly those in areas with upcoming far-right protests, may be concerned about violence in their communities and damage to their premises.

As a member of Circular Communities Scotland, if you feel threatened or are concerned about your organisation’s safety, please seek advice from Police Scotland, or your Local Authority.

Circular Communities Scotland is here to listen to your concerns, and support in any way you feel would be of benefit to you. Feel free to contact our team any time.
