Circular Communities Scotland delighted to announce that Zero Waste Scotland has confirmed funding for the Share & Repair network as part of its core support for the work of Circular Communities Scotland.

The 3-year funding agreement means that the Share and Repair Network can continue to support new and existing sharing and repair projects across Scotland by delivering a carefully planned programme of member services.

To reflect the growing Network, as well as continuing to foster new projects, there will be a strategic focus on supporting capacity building for established projects.

Planned services available to all members include:

  • Themed online networking and information sharing events.
  • 1 to 1 advice, support and signposting.
  • A continuously developing online library of useful resources.
  • A monthly newsletter, featuring details of upcoming events, funding opportunities, campaigning & marketing initiatives, member & sector news and shared resources.
  • The Annual Share and Repair Gathering.
  • An annual campaign, this year focusing on support for the recruitment of skilled volunteers.
  • Piloting and developing in-person technical training events.

Network Coordinator Jane Owens said,

“Listening to our members and understanding the key issues they face is a really important part of my job – particularly as projects grow and evolve.  It’s crucial to help ensure that our programme and services remain relevant and impactful.

I love any opportunity to chat with and learn from the hard working and inspiring people running sharing and repair projects across Scotland.  If there is anything specific that members would like to discuss or particular challenges they face I would say, please do get in touch!”
