Circular Economy Policy Forum

2025 is an important transitional year for policy in Scotland and the policy landscape remains full of possibility and potential for Scotland’s reuse sector.

That is why Circular Communities Scotland is pleased to invite our members and stakeholders to join us for a discussion around the latest updates on important legislation, including: Scotland’s Circular Economy Act, the Circular Economy and Waste Route Map, and other policy updates relevant to our sector.  In addition we will also hear from our counterparts in Ireland about their Reuse Targets and the process to reach these.

As we look forward to the future publishing of the Circular Economy Strategy by Scottish Government and the anticipated elections to the Scottish Parliament in May 2026, we ask…..

How can Circular Communities Scotland and our sector be influential in this policy space?  How can we see a move from rhetoric and positive words to action on the ground that creates real opportunities for our sector to grow?  What should our core policy asks be at this time?

With time to debate and discuss, we welcome your contributions and questions on these important developments that have real life consequences for our work bringing a more circular economy to Scotland.
